This monsoon, Delhiite Anubhav Sapra—best known for pioneering the food walk culture in the capital through his company, Delhi Food Walks—is hiking through the hilly terrains of Kasol and Manali for his ongoing YouTube series, following unusual and iconic flavours and stories nestled in the hills of Himachal. 

"Anubhav Sapra founded Delhi Food Walks in 2011, a platform that has helped popularise guided food walks across the capital. A Delhi University graduate with a background in political science and rural development, he began his career in the non-profit sector before turning his passion for street food into a full-time pursuit. Through his walks and widely followed YouTube channel, Sapra documents regional cuisines, local food traditions, and the lives of vendors, focusing on research-led storytelling rather than reviews. "

"Delhi Food Walks is offering curated trails across Jamia Nagar, Jama Masjid, Daryaganj and Nizamuddin. “Each locality offers a distinct flavour and ambience. The kebabs at Jama Masjid will differ from those at Nizamuddin, which is what keeps the experience vibrant,” says Anubhav Sapra "

Bihari kebabs are widely popular in Dubai and in parts of Pakistan but aren’t easily available in Bihar, let alone Delhi, said Anubhav Sapra founder of Delhi Food Walks, who was part of the panel along with chef and author Sadaf Hussain, entrepreneur Hoihnu Hauzel. Nawab Kazim Ali Khan of Rampur was the chief guest at the event. 

"In 2011, when Anubhav Sapra, founder of Delhi Food Walks, began organizing food walks across Delhi by distributing pamphlets and collaborating with travel agents, his aim was to introduce local and foreign tourists to the city's diverse culinary flavors. Little did he know that 14 years later, people from across the globe would approach him to curate customized food walks in Delhi. Reflecting on his journey, Anubhav, who is preparing to host a group from Africa in Humayunpur, CR Park, and Lajpat Nagar, says, "It all started with a love for food and a passion for educating people about the city’s food culture. In north India, we make rewari, gajak, til patti, mungfali patti, and chikki using sugarcane jaggery all year. However, nolen gur is only available in winter...In Delhi, the popularity of date palm jaggery is not confined to CR Park, though.
